Goodbye to Metro, a tiny dog, but a good dog, a good boy.
On Thursday, September 22, 2011, Metro, a Chiquaqua mix, who walked the Pond year-round, frequently, but not usually on rainy days, with his Gang Of Four pack/friends, Ceci, Peaches, and Oscar, has joined The Departed. From age 12 to 18, approximately, he was our travelling companion. Metro first came to the attention of his friends via a story in the Boston Globe as a dog looking for a home. And so he found his way here.
I'm Shipping Up To Boston, Dropkick Murphys
From Hamlet's 'To be or not to be' speech in Shakespeare's Hamlet, 1602:
"What dreames may come, When we haue shufflel'd off this mortall coile, Must giue vs pawse."
Being a dog, a good dog, he had, of course, four paws.
This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins
Goodbye Metro. You were a good dog, a good boy. I miss you.
